Uniforms—
Symbols of form and discipline, such as military and tailored jackets,
are deconstructed and reimagined through a tactile and structural lens.
Dissected, dismantled, and rearranged—
Twisted details, fragmented garments reconstructed like a puzzle,
give rise to a new, personal order.
ORIMI’s AW25 collection is an oscillation between structure and
dismantling,
a renewed inquiry into the relationship between the body and clothing,
between codes and sensations.
Tactility, tension, layering—
By subtly distorting the rules of tailoring,
the collection finds balance within unconscious dissonance.
Garments become “intellectual playthings,”
and at the same time, devices to embody unseen desires.
This season began by confronting the tension embedded in clothing
structures.
At first glance, the silhouettes adhere to traditional rules̶
yet within each proportion lies a slight deviation,
revealing the quiet emergence of dfference,
and the designer’s pursuit of freedom.
Fabrics include high-density domestically woven wool as the core,
alongside cashmere, angora, silk, and linen—
all carefully selected by the designer through visits to textile producers.
The interplay of different textures and weights
yields garments that simultaneously possess both fragility and
fluctuation.
Details follow a compositional and playful approach:
cutting apart fragments of classical garments,
pasting them back together with architectural logic.
The entire collection is threaded with “noise”—
Distorted floral jacquard wool appears in fragments,
consciously interrupting the clean construction with intended
dissonance.
Military, workwear, tailoring, school knits —
These uniform archetypes are stripped from their original context,
rearranged and offset, producing “chaos” and “ambiguity”
within the clean aesthetic of Tokyo.
Rather than prescribing a singular identity,
ORIMI reveals a mode of dressing that resides in tension:
an equilibrium of restraint and disturbance, of order and drift.
